In some of the events Salisbury filled all the podium places and medals were won in every age group that we had swimmers in which was a fantastic performance. With a slightly less hectic event schedule where our swimmers were competing in finals withing a few minutes of finishing an event I’m sure our swimmers would have won even more medals!

All swimmers performed their warm ups well and they executed their race plans superbly for the various distances. Seeing these put in place throughout the weekend was really pleasing and despite a couple of unfortunate DQ’s the race skills and strategies in general were executed to a really good standard.

Finally, a big thank you to Amanda, Jon and Rahsan as team managers for their hard work in getting the swimmers to their races on time and encouraging them to refuel and rehydrate. Behaviour on poolside was again exemplary through the whole weekend, and the team spirit showed by all swimmers was fantastic. We already looking forward to next weekend and some more brilliant swimming!
