Many congratulation to Samuel Stanford-Jason who brought home a gold breaststroke medal at the Swim Wales National Championships in Swansea.
Winchester March Level 1 Long Course open meet report 26 Mar 2024
Last weekend saw several of our swimmers compete in our first Level 1 meet of the season held in the new 50m Pool in Winchester. This was a great opportunity to compete in a new location against some of the best swimmers in the south east region.
Navigating Puberty: Optimising the Physical Development of Young People 24 Mar 2024
Human bodies are amazing, capable of adapting and evolving over time. Puberty creates the largest changes and challenges for the body which can have long lasting effects. Understanding what happens during maturation and how we can make sure the body grows effectively is vital for development into physically functional adults and can be the make or break time to becoming an elite athlete. This talk will explore what changes occur during puberty and how appropriate training can help this development, allowing us to lead physically active lives without pain or perform to our sporting best.

The Chair of the Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that the next AGM will be held at Five Rivers at 7pm on Monday 4th March.
Counties Age Group weekend 3 – 800’s report 28 Jan 2024
The third weekend of the Wiltshire County Championships saw the 800’s being held at Marlborough college. We only had four swimmers competing, but all swam well gaining 3 personal best times and winning 3 medals.

The second weekend of the Wiltshire County Championships was held at the Link Centre in Swindon. Saturday was the last day of the Age Group competition and some more great swimming ensured more County Champions, more medals, and more best times from our amazing swimmers.

A fantastic first weekend of the Wiltshire County Championships for the 10-13 age groups held at the Five Rivers Leisure Centre saw 6 of the Stingrays swimmers crowned as County Champion. The total medal haul of 14 Gold, 20 Silver and 16 Bronze medals was an amazing achievement and there were several swimmers making finals and swimming lifetime best times.
