Nomination of new trustees
Serving as a trustee is a rewarding and important role. It offers you the opportunity to help shape the future direction of Salisbury Stingrays Swimming Club and contribute to how the club is run.
Trustees are normally elected at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) for a term of three years. However, where a vacancy arises, a trustee may be co-opted by the Board and will then stand for election at the next general meeting.
If you would like to stand as a trustee or nominate someone else for election, please download the Trustee Nomination Form from the link below and return it either:
- By email (signed electronically) to the Club Secretary at [email protected], or
- In person (signed paper copy) to the Club Office at Five Rivers Leisure Centre.
The Secretary will confirm receipt of all nominations.
The deadline for submitting nominations is Sunday, 7th September, which is 21 clear days before the AGM.
Information for new charity trustees
The charity trustees will make available to each new charity trustee, on or before his or her first appointment:
- A copy of this constitution and any amendments made to it; and
- A copy of the CIO’s latest trustees’ annual report and statement of accounts.

- If he or she is under the age of 18 years, or
- If he or she would automatically cease to hold office under the provisions of clause 18.1 of this constitution (Retirement and removal of charity trustees).
- No one is entitled to act as a charity trustee whether on appointment or on any re-appointment until he or she has expressly acknowledged, in whatever way the charity trustees decide, his or her acceptance of the office of charity trustee.
